About this event

This workshop is for parents and other family members of young children (0-6 years) who are on the autism spectrum or who have concerns about their child.

Topics to be covered will include:

  • Early signs of autism in young children
  • What autism is, and what it means for the child and their family
  • Pathways for diagnosis
  • Practical strategies to support families
  • How services can support families
  • Practical strategies that can make a difference to a child’s development
  • Helping parents select and maximise an intervention service.

Workshops are held in small groups and give families opportunities to share ideas with each other. These sessions are run by highly skilled and experienced early childhood professionals.

Light refreshments provided.
